Letshego Zulu has reflected on the loss of her husband Gugu and the financial struggles she has had to face since his death.

It has been seven months since Letshego lost her husband on Mount Kilimanjaro and has admitted that of all the daily struggles she faces, financial woes were her biggest stress.

Speaking to Gareth Cliff on CliffCentral, Letshego said that many people thought she and Gugu lived a luxurious lifestyle and that she inherited a large amount of money after his death.

  • Twitter crucifies Minnie Dlamini's 'historic' KickOff coverTV personality Minnie Dlamini caused a social media ruckus on Thursday when she was unveiled as the first female cover star of local footie mag KickOff.

"Motorsport is a hobby in our country. Gugu had to literally hold down three, four jobs at one time...We both had to work hard. There are not millions that I am sitting on. People actually think that I am sitting on millions because I get random emails from people asking me to help them financially since my husband passed away, and I'm like 'are you kidding me?'" Letshego said.

She said that she was still waiting for Gugu's estate to be finalised and that she often didn't know how she made it through the month. "I am a survivor. I don't know how. It is not easy, I will tell you that much but I find a way," Letshego said of her struggles.

  •  Opinion: AKA and Bonang's perilous cry wolf game will come back to haunt themThe problem with crying wolf is that when you do tell the truth, ain't nobody gonna believe you. And that's exactly why AKA and Bonang's so-called fake split wasn't "marketing genius" but a massive mistake that will undoubtedly come back to bite them. Hard.

Letshego said that her sole focus was to provide for the couple's daughter and to make sure that she was looked after, but admitted that when the time was right she would try to find love again.

"I believe in love, love loves me. If I was 70 and he passed away, maybe but I'm only 32," Letshego said.
