Popular Ukhozi FM DJ Khathide “Tshatha” Ngobe has apologised to thousands of fuming women, after he claimed that women who dress inappropriately are encouraging men to sleep with them in a Facebook post.

Tshatha was slammed by his followers after posting a picture of two women in revealing outfits. In the caption he wrote in Zulu that  men may be dogs, but that women were provoking them by dressing inappropriately.

"If you dress like this, guys will end up only thinking about taking you to bed. If you think they will consider getting married to you or paying lobola, think again. These girls are beautiful, but the way they are dressed makes them lose their dignity,” Tshatha said.

  • Yes Papa Penny, but what exactly are 'spiritual diamonds'? We must admit we were as lost as Papa Penny's designer at the mention of "spiritual bling" but we rewatched so we could understand exactly what he meant.

Tshatha's comments left thousands of women fuming, who wasted no time in calling him out for the post. In the wake of the backlash the radio presenter returned to Facebook to apologise.

"To those who were angry with my previous post, I am so sorry. I would also like to say sorry to the women in the picture. My aim was to advise women about the importance of dressing properly," he wrote.

  • Nipples and thigh: 4 sizzling pictures from Khanyi Mbau's Previdar shootPrevidar magazine has a reputation for doing photoshoots with local celebrities and taking things to the next level. And this spread with Khanyi Mbau is no different.

He also rubbished accusations that his comments encouraged rape, saying that the post was misinterpreted.

"To those who are mentioning rape, I don't know what you are talking about. I did not mention rape or rapists in my post. If you do not understand Zulu properly, then you are better off asking someone who can help you," he added.

According to Daily Sun, Ukhozi FM will not be taking action against the DJ for his comment because they were not made on air.
