As hundreds of protesters brave the cold Joburg weather to march to the Union Buildings on Wednesday, more than a few might adopt the latest protest dance trend to hit SA.

A video of three elderly women protesting at the anti-Zuma marches last week went viral and soon spawned a new trend that has been taking over the internet.

The protest dance has been been mimicked by a number of people, including The Soil's Buhle Mda.

Buhle and her friends posted a video of themselves doing the dance to messages of laughter from her fans.

While a video uploaded by comedian Siv Ngesi on Tuesday showed an entire grandstand at a stadium doing the new jig.
