Sales opened on Monday morning and tickets cost R750 with a limit of two tickets per person.

The tickets were also only sold to people who bought the November issue of O Magazine, which had a unique ticket number on it.

"If Oprah's sought after goody bags are after, they [ticket holders] will be disappointed.

"The show is a motivational talk, where Oprah and SA's O Magazine editor, Samantha Page will head a discussion 'You Have The Power'," it was reported.

Oprah's favourite things - an annual segment on her show - features a list of things she likes that year, some of which are given to the entire studio audience that day.

Her goody bags have featured everything from croissants to Blackberry phones, computers and Burberry coats.

But for South African guest's R750, they will each receive a gift bag, a six month subscription to O Magazine and breakfast.

The show on November 30, has been billed as an inspiring morning with Oprah.

Incredible and shocking, how south africans can shun their own motivational speakers; who don't even charge what ophrah's charging..could go out in their sheepy numbers, just to be told they have the power...to be reminded of their names and psyched up for impossible dreams. they think they'll be rich as ophrah, what a waste of time and money...I don't need anyone to remind me about myself..I know that I know that I know, I have a place in the sun and everything that belongs to me is mine and comissioned by God, and He has put my name on it..I belong here, i am child of the universe, no less than anybody else, including ophrah and all the other gods the mamparas of this world worship...

This is a proof of how supreme imperialist news agencies , TV station, and programs have domination over the people in Africa.

it is time to end that pattern, While Oprah is a familly member of ours, the enemy uses her to push their criminal agenda against Africa.

we should ban the enemy propaganda machine in Africa.

Some people dont know that even Oprah claims to love South Africa, when she comes back to America se always bad mouth the country. When she built her school she went back to the USA and made a very bad documentary about South Africa which portrayed the whole country as one big shanty town and every black South African girl as a rape victim.

Oprah has tremendously contributed to the bad image of Africa in the States

Human sheep will always find a charismatic figure to follow - why Oprah has such a following I'll never know

Here in South Africa we have Ray McCauley who runs with the hares and hunts with the hounds.

Years ago he used to run to P W Botha now it's Jacob Zuma.

The Rhema church is a type of opiate for some of the masses.

Noleen's show is good - there is nothing sinister in it. I do not think that there is any hidden subliminal message

Dukeboy, all malamba is saying is that oprah focused more on the bad than on the good. Not every girl in SA is raped. As a 'messenger', she should have been objective enough to not let her emotions and her school failing cloud her judgement.

@Malamba, rape and violence against women should be talked about if it happens in SA or any country and this subject should not be covered up.
The SA women league should be speaking out on the this subject and not playing politic. I get the impression that many of you think that if you don't talk about the problem it will disappear. Malamba, if the US wants to be in Africa there is no problem finding a country to set up a military base in Africa. You must remember that the US is SA second leading trading partner and SA is running a surplus with the US. Malamba, North America is the richest market in the world and it's to SA advantage to trade with this market. Most of this left wing BS that being spreading in SA does not deal in the real world.

SA artists come to the US and nobody say anything so why all of you are bitching about nothing? People forget that SA artists were allowed to perform in the US when they were banned SA a few years ago.
