Minister fires corrupt officials

Minister of Arts and Culture Lulu Xingwana has dismissed top officials who were earlier placed on suspension over misconduct and corruption.

The officials include former deputy director-general Sydney Selepe and acting deputy director-general Tale Motsepe.

Other officials dismissed are Mzukisi Madlavu, Thandi Mdlela, Fikile Dilika, Lindi Ndebele-Koka, Sipho Ndlovu and eight provincial co-ordinators of the investing in culture programme.

Xingwana has had to sack these people. All of them are black Africans. Could that be a good reason for Xingwana to start widening the racial representivity of her staff? There's no Betsie van Staden among the list, or a Johanna Fielies or a Mary Watson. Or Naira Padyachee.

All black African.

Miss Lulu I take my hat of to you. These thieves and frauds are destroying the ANC. I must say that as a DA fan I,ve been enjoying the destruction and if the rest of the cadres don,t catch a wake up the poor and jobless will wake up and then the S..t will hit the fan. Good on you lady.

People have very short memories. Regardless of the reasons given for the sackings I cannot imagine that she was offended by the dishonesty.
