Dino upset over Bipasha rumours

Dino Morea was upset recently when rumours began spreading that the hunky model-turned-actor spent the night partying with ex-girlfriend Bipasha Basu while her boyfriend, John Abraham, was in London shooting for 0800-Love.

According to Dino, he respects the relationship between John and Bipasha and clarified that they met at a farewell party for a mutual friend. Dino and Bips dated when they first moved to Mumbai but the sexy actress fell in love with John while working on Jism.

  • The hot and sexy actress Nayanthra is either very bold or very stupid for turning down Mani Ratnam's offer for the movie Raavana. While some claim Nayantra had no dates to spare, others insist she was not keen on doing a de-glamorised role. Nayantra has, however, been confirmed for a role in the movie Electra, which is based on a Greek play and has the actress being paired opposite Arya. There's also talk that she has been signed for the remake of the Malayalam movie Bodyguard.
  • Dino Morea has two exciting projects that are lined up for release. First, he will be seen in the action thriller Acid Factory with a host of other stars, including Fardeen Khan, Irfan Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Manoj Bajpai, Danny Denzongpa and the lovely Dia Mirza. Major parts of the movie were shot in Cape Town. Then, Dino will be seen entering the Yash Raj camp for a movie titled Pyaar Impossible, which has Priyanka Chopra opposite Uday Chopra, who plays a geek. Wonder if this film will be re garded an "another" comeback film for Uday Chopra?
  • The Salman-Shahrukh war is definitely old news but someone who was caught up in their feud was their mutual friend Rani Mukherjee. When she appeared on Salman's Dus Ka Dum, Shahrukh replaced her from a guest appearance in Billu. Now there's more exciting news that Rani has convinced Salman to bury the hatchet and work with Yash Raj Pictures. Sal-man had a fallout with Rani's other half, Aditya Chop-ra, during the casting days of Chak De India, when he was offered the lead role but demanded an enormous pay cheque and kept the filmmaker waiting for almost a month. Aditya eventually ended up signing Shah- rukh and the movie became a blockbuster.
  • Shooting for Shankar's eagerly awaited science-fiction entertainer Endhiran was disrupted recently when a unit member suffered an electric shock and had to be rushed to hospital. This big-budget film features Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. Shankar had first offered the lead role to Shahrukh Khan, who declined, claiming the script was "half-baked".
  • Funny man Brahmanandam, well known for his versatile roles, is reportedly set for his next role in a silent movie produced by CC Reddy of Visu fame. No date has been set for the film, which was expected to include a cameo role by former chief minister the late YSR Reddy. However, after Reddy's tragic death last week, the makers have apparently decided to wrap it up soon as a tribute to the politician.
  • Tamil cinema has bagged three major awards at the National Awards - India's most prestigious film awards. The film Kanchivaram won best-film and best-actor awards for Prakash Raj. Shankar's Sivaji won the award for best visual effects. This is the best showing of the Tamil film industry in recent times.
  • NR Kumaravel, the son of veteran director GN Rangarajan, has made a dream debut as a director Ninaithale Innikkum, in which Prithviraj shares the lead role with Shakthi, son of director P Vasu. The female lead is played by national award winner Priya- mani and director K Bhagyaraj plays a pivotal role. The film has been appreciated for its strong values, engaging story and stylish presentation.
  • Last Sunday saw the eagerly anticipated launch of the audio soundtrack of Kamalhassan's Unnai Pol Oruvan, which sees the debut of Kamalhassan's daughter, Sruthi, as a music composer. The launch was held in Chennai's Sathyam cinema, with thousands of fans trying to get a glimpse of the actor who made Tamil films famous. The CDs have been flying off the shelves since its release and early indications are that Sruthi has a hit with her first film album.
  • Poor Sneha! She seems unable to stay away from negative media coverage and is in the middle of yet another controversy. She allegedly wore slippers in a temple. A Hindu group has demanded an apology. Sneha said a special prayer required her to walk 14km barefoot. Since she was unable to do that, she had special cotton slippers made. The Hindu group, however, say slippers of any kind should not be worn by people performing such an important prayer.
