Kate Moss in new Mango spring ad: Video
Kate Moss has been revealed as the face of high street retailer Mango's Spring 2012 campaign, appearing in print and television campaigns captured by fashion photographer Terry Richardson.
While the Barcelona-based retailer had opted for actresses including Scarlett Johansson and Penélope Cruz to front collections in recent years, Moss's appointment marks a move further into the realm of high fashion for the brand.
Moss, who had previously starred in television commercials for the retailer, attended a photocall January 24 at Mango's London flagship store in Oxford Street ahead of the collection launch.
A television commercial starring Moss called 'Spy Game' will also go live across 40 countries including the UK, France and Germany early March.
Moss showcases ultra-feminine pieces including a classic monochrome mini dress in the ad.

The fashionista's previous high street collaborations include modelling and designing her own fashion lines for British retailer Topshop. Back in 2005 Swedish chain H&M decided to cancel a planned campaign featuring Moss after reports that she had taken illegal drugs, and Mango has even made reference to this period.
"Kate Moss was chosen as the image of Mango because she is a world-famous fashion icon, making her one of the most sought-after models in the fashion world," a Mango spokeswoman is quoted as saying in WWD.
"She had a turbulent past, which she has put behind her to continue being a supermodel, and has recently married and become a mother. After two decades appearing on catwalks worldwide, she has demonstrated that she is the top model par excellence."
