The British supermodel tied the knot with Lost in Translation actor Giovanni Ribisi in a surprise ceremony last weekend, it has been confirmed.

The 37-year-old actor's representative told the Huffington Post: "Agyness Deyn and Giovanni Ribisi quietly married in Los Angeles over the weekend."

According to Crown City News, the pair were spotted "passionately kissing" while standing in line at the Los Angeles County Registrar's office and confirmed they were planning to wed when quizzed by a reporter.

They also said they had been dating "for a while".

News of the wedding may come as a shock as it was only in March that 29-year-old Deyn - who split from The Paddingtons rocker Josh Hubbard in 2008 after four years of dating - said she was "all alone".

She said: "I'm all alone. There has been no man in my life for several months now and although it would be nice to have a boyfriend, I can't just settle for anybody."

Ribisi - who can next be seen in TED - has a 14-year-old daughter Lucia from his four-year marriage to Mariah O'Brien, who he divorced in 2001. He was in a relationship with singer Cat Power and the couple were still living together as recently as early this year.

In an interview with The Stool Pigeon on 18 June, Power said her upcoming album Sun is partly inspired by their breakup.
