The couple's 41-day old marriage ended in divorce on Wednesday, a little more than a month after his arrest on a domestic battery charge.

According to Dailymail.co.uk, NFL star Chad 'Ochocino' said he has enrolled in anger management classes following the alleged head butting incident with Lozada.

'I'm trying to find out how can I channel my anger when I'm in situations to where I would pop off,' Johnson says in an interview with Showtime's Inside The NFL which airs on Wednesday night.

'How can I diffuse those situations, trigger points? Right now I need to work on Chad.

Johnson says he takes full responsibility for the altercation which resulted in his arrest on August 11 on a domestic violence charge.

Lozada was treated for a laceration to her forehead, police captain Dale Engle claimed at the time.

'I had an altercation with my wife,' says Johnson. 'I take full responsibility for it. I apologise for it. I'm human and I made a mistake.'

Johnson also says he believes the Miami Dolphins team cut him from the team solely based on the domestic incident, rather than his performances on the field.

He adds: 'First off, I lost two things that I love.  Football. I love that. Being married, being a husband, being a lover was an honour and I lost that. They have that saying: You never know what you have until it's gone and that's gone and now I finally know what they mean.

'I lost two of the things that really meant the most to me. That someone completed my world, completed me, period. But I just hadn't made that transition to where I needed to be the best man that I could, or best husband that I could. I didn't make it all the way, fully.'

Johnson also reveals he is no longer on speaking terms with Basketball Wives star Lozada.

Johnson was opposed to the divorce and tried to win his way back into Lozada's life with public declarations of love and a tattoo portrait of her face on his leg.

In an additional statement, Lozada’s lawyer Michael Gilden told People magazine:‘Evelyn and Mr. Johnson were divorced this morning in an uncontested final hearing.’

The judge also upheld a private pre-nuptial agreement.
