The on-again/off-again couple - who recently reunited following their brief split after the 23-year-old Turn Up The Music singer was spotted dining with his model ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran in Dubai earlier this month - were spotted arriving in the Ivory Coast last night by private jet along with their entourage.

Chris is performing at the Kora Music Awards in Abidjan, which have been dubbed the Africa Grammys, tonight where he is the guest of honour.

The annual event - which has previously been attended by Nelson Mandela and the late Michael Jackson - was originally set to take place last night, but was reportedly delayed at the last minute because Chris and Rihanna's flight was delayed due to heavy rains.

He was also set to perform at a Peace for Africa concert at a stadium in the city this afternoon.

Earlier today, Rihanna tweeted a message that appeared to confirm they have decided to give their relationship another chance, which read: "Are u still down baby? Are u really bout that life? Is you down for the ride?.......here we go again"

It is not yet known if they plan to stay in the region to celebrate New Year's Eve there together tomorrow night.

The couple's romantic getaway comes just days after they were spotted looking smitten with one another as they spent Christmas Day watching the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team in action.

The two could be seen cheering and sipping drinks, with Rihanna, 24, occasionally whispering in Chris' ear and while cuddling him.

She was also wearing a gold collar necklace believed to be a gift from Chris, who is still on probation for beating her up in 2009.

The two singers had arrived in the same car but entered Staples Centre separately, before meeting up again inside. However, they were later spotted leaving the stadium hand-in-hand.
