One Direction gives fans a chance to interact with band
Pop group One Direction is undertaking a worldwide event called ‘1D Day’, which will give fans around the world an opportunity to enter into One Direction’s world through a seven-hour live broadcast with the band.
1D Day will be broadcast live on the November 23, 2013, and is the first live event of its kind, giving people from different countries and time-zones the chance to interact with the band throughout the broadcast.
Including HD production and the a webchat, the event will provide access to One Direction’s world. It will feature special guest appearances, sketches with the band, live broadcasts with different countries and fan-generated videos.
Fans can check the band’s social media and official site regularly for updates on how to get involved.
Talking about 1D Day, group member Liam Payne says: "1D Day is all about giving back to our amazing fans for supporting us for the past three years. When we suggested it we never thought anyone would let us loose LIVE all day – we cannot wait!"?
One Direction is currently on a worldwide tour, having recently announced their third studio album , Midnight Memories, which is due for release on November 25, 2013.
With their two albums to date – Up All Night and Take Me Home - One Direction have sold over 30 million records worldwide.
They’ve won two BRIT awards, three MTV Europe Music awards, three Billboard Music awards, and this year achieved their third UK No. 1 with the official Red Nose Day 2013 single One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks).
This year, One Direction made their cinema debut with a 3D concert movie One Direction: This Is Us, which grossed $60 million worldwide.
