Celebrity power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are under investigation by child protective services over a photo of their daughter lying on a bed with her friend, according to reports.
The black and white photo shows 13-year-old Willow and her friend Moises Arias, 20, shirtless with Willow slouched fully clothed in front of him, said The Daily Mail.
It was posted on social media.
Willow's mother, defended the image earlier this month, saying there was “ nothing sexual about it” .
But the Los Angeles Department of Children And Family Services has launched a probe, according to RadarOnline.
The website reports the investigation was launched last week and that the couple have been “extremely cooperative”.
A source told the website: 'Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well.
However, Pinkett Smith lashed out at photographers and videographers, and speaking in a video on TMZ she said: “Here's the deal. There was nothing sexual about that picture of that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it … and your acting like covert paedophiles and that's not cool.”
Sources told the tabloid that the couple had 'no issue' with the b snap since Willow is “very mature”.
The Hollywood couple of 15 years considered the image - which has since been taken down - as “an expression of art” and “innocent fun”.
“We don't do punishment,” 45-year-old Smith told Metro last year.
