The Afro Pop songstress has had charges of assault, malicious damage to property and reckless driving against her dropped.

Khumalo and her sister, Zandi were involved in a violent altercation with Senzo Meyiwa's wife, Mandisa Mkhize, Orlando Pirates goalkeeper's wife last year.

Khumalo and her sister were subsequently charged with charges of assault, two more charges of reckless driving and a charge of malicious damage to property. According to Drum magazine, the case was dropped because Khumalo and her sister passed the court's diversion programme which includes a form of rehabilitation such as counseling or community service.

The weekly also reports that although they failed to appear in court on 22 August, the case was dismissed on 25 August. The sisters lives have hung in the balance as the legal saga they were embroiled in was highly publicized. They were arrested and released on bail of R500 each when Meyiwa's wife brought the charges against them.

At the time, Meyiwa's wife claimed the pair had dented her BMW and struck her in the face. The attack was apparently prompted by Khumalo's affair with Meyiwa. Khumalo denied knowing the Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was married and insisted she tried to break their relationship off when she found out. Meyiwa and Mkhize's relationship has apparently gone south while Khumalo and the goalie went on to have a daughter together.
