Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach and former soccer heart throb, Doctor Khumalo is going through a messy split with his wife of eight years.

Khumalo, who was fondly known as '16V' is set to fork out R45,000 a month for his soon to be ex-wife Blanche Khumalo.

The pair share a child and have been married for eight years. Blanche is demanding R30,000 for herself and R15,000 for their child. According to Sunday World, the former duo's split turned nasty when Doc escorted a sheriff of the court out of his house. The sheriff was there to serve him divorce summons but Doc was apparently upset that he had not attained permission from security to enter his home.

"I asked him who he was and told him that he had no right to come into my house and order me to sign the summons. I told him that he should follow the procedure by going to the security guards at the gates to search him first before coming into my house. When he refused I marshalled him out of the house and, to my surprise, he opened a case of assault against me," he said.

Speaking on his divorce and the reasons for it, Doc said he believed that his wife thought she was emotionally abusing him. He declined to comment on cheating allegations levelled against him by his wife.
