Former TKZee singer was arrested in Bloemfontein on Monday night for allegedly refusing to pay for his and his friend’s drink at Cubana Lounge.

The 38-year-old Tokollo Tshabalala ordered two 330ml Savannas but when the bill came, according to Daily Sun, the Number 1 tsotsi  hitmaker lived to his famous song as he refused to settle the bill – saying that it was too expensive.

According to a source he allegedly tried to leave without paying for his drinks and was stopped by a waitress.

“Magesh and his friend ordered two drinks. Then the waitress asked him to pay when she saw him trying to leave without settling his bill,” said one of the patrons.

He apparently said he had his own club in Joburg that didn’t charge that much, offering only to pay R40.

Police spokesman Captain Chaka Marope confirmed the incident.

“The artist and his friend were arrested and charged with theft after they allegedly failed to pay a bill of R62. They will appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court today,” said Marope.
