Award-winning musician AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, has observed Zulu tradition by paying damages to the family of DJ Zinhle for impregnating her out of wedlock.
A cow, goat and cash was given to Zinhle's family over the weekend in Dannhauser, Kwa-Zulu Natal. AKA and Zinhle have a baby girl called Kairo.
Daily Sun reports Zinhle's uncle confirmed damages had been paid.
“We had a great day when the father of my grandchild came with his family to pay damages. He paid one cow, one goat and cash for the second cow. I am happy that he respected our tradition.

“We became one family. It was like we had known each other a long time. As for ilobolo . . . maybe one day he will consider that but at the moment we are happy that he paid damages,” said Mbongeni Jiyane.
