Bonang Matheba's legal eagles have failed to respond to an urgent letter which was last week sent by Zinhle Jiyane's lawyers.

Nomndeni Mdakhi, Jiyane's spokesperson and right hand woman said Matheba's lawyers, who had personally delivered a letter of instruction to Jiyane's Bryanston home had gone silent.

“We can confirm there is no sit-down planned and nothing like this was communicated by DJ Zinhle’s team to Bongani Khoza, Bonang’s lawyer, as stated in Sunday World on Sunday. This is false.”

Matheba's lawyers were quick to instruct Jiyane to apologise or face a defamation lawsuit after she nailed Matheba as the woman who had an affair with rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes over a period of five months.

Consequently, Jiyane and Forbes parted ways after a three year relationship and the birth of their two-month old daughter.

Bonang and AKA spotted in Cape Town and arriving together at an unidentified event.

“After receiving no feedback from Bongani Khoza, another urgent letter was sent by Jeffrey Afriat on 18 September to which we are still awaiting a response," Mdakhi told Daily Sun.

Mdakhi added that there was no effort on Jiyane's part to reconcile with Matheba, suggesting she stood by her statement that the face of Revlon had several trysts with AKA.

Matheba's lawyer, Khoza said there would be no further comment as the "issue had run its course" thus implying the defamation lawsuit against Jiyane had no basis.
