An actress who featured on 'Generations' last year has been accepted to study for her masters degree at Harvard University.

Lerato Motshwarakgole played the role of Dineo's (Katlego Danke) younger sister on Generations.

While her character was scandalous and had an affair with Dineo's husband, Motshwarakgole leads a far more uncomplicated life.

She announced the news about her enrolment at Harvard University on her Facebook page, saying that she was following in the footsteps of her idol Michelle Obama.

Motshwarakgole studied at the University of Cape Town for a degree in performance arts. She then started her own communications company.

She told a blog she had set serious plans for herself.

"My five year plan is expanding my company and growing it throughout the entire continent. Our agenda is to singularly change the spectrum of education, bringing art and creativity to the forefront, particularly for students that are disenfranchised by the clinical and narrow Maths and Sciences academia that drives education today.

"Through comprehensive research and effective learning programs, Ora Communications aspires to spearhead the shift from the Age of Information to the Age of Creativity in Education. We endeavour to start cultivating these skills early on in Primary School students," she said.
