Award-winning artist Toya Delazy recently revealed that she has left Sony Music Africa – after joining them in 2011 – to focus on her own record label‚ Delazy Entertainment. Not only has she started her own label‚ she’s already signed on her first artist Klutch Kollective‚ an all-female rap crew which she is also a part of.“Today marks a significant day for me. I only realised when I signed the Klutch Kollective contracts today that 19 April 2011 was the day I signed to Sony Music Africa. I take this coincidence as the beginning of a great new chapter and I look forward to sharing more music with South Africa and the rest of the world‚” says the musician‚ who is also set to release new music as an independent artist.Klutch Kollective’s debut single‚ Back To The Roots‚ has been playlisted on radio stations across the country and is on high rotation on stations such as East Coast Radio and recently made it on YFM.A video posted by Toya Delazy (@toyadelazy) on Apr 13, 2016 at 9:40am PDTasync deferGoodbye Sony Music Africa, hello World ;)— Toya Delazy (@ToyaDelazy) April 19, 2016async About a week ago‚ Delazy took to Instagram to share a video of herself working on new music at the world-renowned Metropolis studios‚ which are based in London...
