SABC1 TV presenter Siphiwo Nzawumbi speaks out about suicide attempts

SABC1 TV presenter Siphiwo Nzawumbi has for the first time divulged that he contemplated suicide five years ago‚ and is now helping others who suffer from depression.In a revealing interview the Yilungelo Lakho presenter detailed how he was so depressed at the time he thought about ending his life.Speaking to Daily Sun‚ Siphiwo explained that he was going through a really difficult period at the time‚ but fought the temptation.“I didn’t give in to the temptation. I fought and won‚” he said.Siphiwo explained that the suicidal thoughts occurred during a time when things weren’t going well in his career and he was frustrated.The TV star added that the decision to speak out about his experience was inspired by hip-hop star‚ HHP who spoke out just over three weeks ago about attempting suicide three times in 2015.“I decided to talk about my own experience after rapper HHP revealed he attempted suicide three times last year. I knew what he was talking about‚ but people on social media only made a mockery of his experience.”Siphiwo says he now helps people suffering from depression and advises people to talk about their problems...
