Kelly Khumalo: Where has womanhood gone?

06 May 2016 - 11:48 By Kyle Zeeman

Popular musician Kelly Khumalo has lashed out at women who mock each other‚ saying that there is no place for the practice online. Following hot on the heels of a lesson in black-on-black jealousy by DJ Black Coffee on Tuesday‚ Kelly Khumalo took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to dish out her own lesson on hate.In a lengthy post‚ she recounts how she was scrolling through her social media timeline when she came across “a repost of a very disrespectful message towards a ‘particular’ mbokode (strong person).”“My issue is not so much about what was said in the post‚ but the fact that it was reposted by a woman who is clearly enjoying the fact that a woman is being publicly humiliated and trashed by a man. And as a woman you feel the need to retweet or repost? Kanti abafazi banjani (how are woman)? Ubukhosikazi buyephi (where has womanhood gone)?” she wrote.Kelly says that she was shocked how instead of protecting one another women often rejoice at each other's failures. From her relationships to her parenting skills‚ Kelly is no stranger to women-on-women hate‚ having experienced her fair share of hate at the hands of women over the years.Still‚ she says women deserve to be forgiven for their comments‚ if for nothing else than because they are her sisters.A photo posted by Kelly Khumalo (@kelly_khumalo) on May 4, 2016 at 1:02pm PDTjunk..
