Veteran American rocker Ozzy Osbourne has spoken out for the first time since rumours of a split from his wife Sharon Osbourne emerged‚ pouring cold water over speculation over his sobriety.

Even though Ozzy has refused to address commentary that he cheated on Sharon with a hairdresser‚ Ozzy has set the record straight on rumours that he’s back on the bottle.

"I have been sober for three and a quarter years. I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate‚" Ozzy told E! News.

Ozzy’s comments come in the wake of reports that the star had been given three weeks to save his marriage‚ this after his wife Sharon had apparently found evidence of him cheating with hairdresser Michelle Pugh.

He has reportedly been kicked out of the house by Sharon and was said to have gone “missing” earlier this week after being given the boot.

Meanwhile‚ Sharon is said to have taken a break from her hosting duties on popular American chat show The Talk on Monday amidst the allegations. Her co-host Julie Chen asked viewers to send their love and support to Sharon and her family.

The couple have been married for 34 years.
