Elton John to tour SA in 2010

Elton John will perform a series of concerts around South Africa in 2010, the concert promoters said.

The Live Under African Skies picnic concerts will be held at the Emmarentia Botanic Gardens in Johannesburg on March 21, March 24 at the outer fields of the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban and March 26 at the Nelson Mandela Metro University sports fields, south campus, Port Elizabeth.

He will also perform at the Val De Vie Wine and Polo Estate in the picturesque Paarl/Franschhoek valley on March 28 2010.

The collaborator will be percussionist Ray Cooper.

John has sold over 200 million albums worldwide and his hits include Rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

He has received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
