A newly launched app means consumers can go shopping with their Facebook friends.
Launched in the US by Detroit-based company Marxent Labs, the ShopWith. It app gives shoppers the chance to share products and ask style advice from pals.
Consumers can scan product barcodes or take photos of potential purchases before sharing with friends on social-networking sites.
Other features from the app, which is available for free download at Android Market, include price checks from retailers including beauty giant Sephora and department stores such as Nordstrom and Macy's.

The ShopWith. It app is the latest product attempting to make shopping a more sociable experience. Last month Spanish retailer Zara launched a new iPad app called Zara+Connect! in the US, enabling consumers to recreate the experience of perusing their local store with friends thanks to virtual shopping dates.
Meanwhile, teen-focused site Plum Willow offers over 1 000 fashion and beauty brands from retailers such as Macy's, The Gap and Kohl's, and allows consumers to upload their choices to Facebook.
A recent addition to the site is a feature called ‘Style Together’, where users in multiple locations can review their purchases together.
