Halo's impact on the Xbox console, Xbox Live online service, and console shooters is explored in a video featuring staff from Microsoft, 343 Industries and Saber Interactive.
Going behind the scenes of the Xbox 360's Halo: Anniversary reveals how a 10-year-old game was brought up-to-date with improved graphics, online co-op, support for 3DTV, and the customization options of Skulls mode.
The Xbox 360 remake is part of a rising trend that has seen high-definition reissues for games in the God of War, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia and Team ICO series on PlayStation 3.
Metal Gear Solid HD makes a North American debut on both Xbox 360 and PS3 come November 8, the Wii's Monster Hunter 3 will become Japan's Monster Hunter 3G on 3DS in December, the Silent Hill Collection (PS3/360) is expected by the year's end, and Devil May Cry HD has just been announced for early 2012.
Most of these enjoy a budget price tag of $/€/£29 to $/€/£39, and Halo: Anniversary is no exception. It comes in at $39 (€39 / £29 / ¥3,990) upon its North American debut on November 15, with other territories following soon after.
