Bethesda launches Skyrim mapp app

An official interactive map is now available for iTunes users in the US, and it's a clever little thing -- free to download, with users then buying access to map information as they so choose.
Users can see the locations of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's capital cities without paying a cent, regardless of whether they have discovered them in the game.
Anything else, and adventurers in need of navigational tutelage will be
ponying up $0.99 per category
-- anything from interiors to primary
locations, hidden treasures, points of interest and even potential spouses --
and, from a certain point of view, that makes sense, considering that Prima's
Official Strategy Guide weighs in at $27.
The app goes up against not only fan-made maps of the game world, but also another iTunes offering by the name of Dragon Shout which, though at this point a simpler affair, is currently free of charge from start to finish.
