'The Avengers' becomes pinball table for video game tie-in

The Avengers are bound for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, not as the standard beat 'em up tie-in, but instead part of a new set of tables for Pinball FX 2 and Zen Pinball 2.

Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, their leader Nick Fury and villain Loki are all in on the action on a table themed after The Avengers' naval transport, the Hellicarrier.

The table is one of four to appear in an upcoming Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles pack, which includes the previously revealed World War Hulk table, and is expected to launch before the end of May.

No Spider-Man though, as the webslinger has his own adventures to attend to in The Amazing Spider-Man, based on Columbia Pictures' film of the same name.

From the DC stable, Batman, Robin, Superman and Wonder Woman are among the characters set to appear in Lego Batman 2, also out in June.
