'Ghost Recon' tie-in launches on Facebook

Ubisoft's Facebook tie-in for console release Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is launching under the moniker Ghost Recon Commander, a more aggressive style of app offering the opportunity to harvest friends-based body counts rather than barley or bonus word scores.

Like the original Syndicate, X-COM series, or Jagged Alliance games, Ghost Recon Commander adopts an isometric perspective, giving players an overview of each deployment's location.

Players can recruit mercenaries -- that is, people on their friends lists -- before tackling a series of missions, some of which are inspired by classic Ghost Recon assignments.
