Expect another official Assassin's Creed III announcement very soon, as UK retailer Zavvi prematurely lists a Vita version for one of this October's blockbusters-in-waiting.

According to Zavvi's website entry, Assassin's Creed III for the PlayStation Vita will have the same release date as its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 compatriots -- October 31 in European regions -- but no further details were given.

Also shown seven days in advance, but lacking a precise date, was GAME UK's page for another Ubisoft Vita gig, Ghost Recon: Final Mission.

With both likely planned for a debut display at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on June 4, segments on either game could slot into the stage shows of publisher Ubisoft or console manufacturer Sony -- both of which step into the spotlight on Monday, June 4.

Sony is expected to push the Vita's capabilities ahead of its first holiday season. Ubisoft has its fingers in many a pie, supplying a good amount of software for Nintendo's launch of the new Wii U console.
