Trailer: 'Marley' official documentary
After a world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival of the documentary 'Marley', about the legendary reggae star Bob Marley, a new trailer was released February 18.
Directed by Oscar winner Kevin Macdonald ( The Last King of Scotland, State of Play), the film chronicles Marley's life and music from Jamaica to the superstardom on the world stage and his untimely death from cancer in 1981 at age 36.
Interviews with people close to him are incorporated in the film; featured are his son Ziggy and wife Rita Marley, Jimmy Cliff, bandmates, and Chris Blackwell of Island Records, as well as the artist.
Performances of hits such as One Love, I Shot the Sheriff, No Woman, No Cry and Jammin' will be shown as Marley and the Wailers hit the world stage along with rare concert footage.
