It's easy to see the line that connects the work of the original Three Stooges - Larry, Curly and Moe - and the gross-out slapstick of the work of the Farrelly brothers.

Directors: Bobby and Peter Farrelly

Cast: Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jane Lynch, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Hudson, Larry David

What's not so easy to see is why they thought this lame tribute to their cinematic heroes would be a good idea. While trying to save their childhood orphanage, the three rebooted stooges stumble into a murder plot, end up starring in a reality TV show and have run-ins with Larry David playing a nun named Sister Mary-Mengele.

This film is laboured, infantile and not very funny.
