The first trailer for 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower starring Emma Watson', Hermione of Harry Potter fame, was previewed at the pre-show of the MTV Movie Awards.

The film costars Logan Lerman ( Percy Jackson,  Three Musketeers) and Ezra Miller ( We Need to Talk About Kevin), who also introduced the film on air before the show.

The coming-of-age film, based on the novel of the same name by director Stephen Chbosky, who wrote the screenplay  Rent, follows a new kid in school and the friendship of two upper classmen, telling of the ups and downs of growing up, love and loss.

Wallflower also features Paul Rudd ( Dinner for Schmucks) and Dylan McDermott ( American Horror Story).

Wallflower releases on September 14 in North America, followed by European markets through September, Brazil in November and other dates to be announced.
