The new full-length trailer for Tim Burton's ‘Frankenweenie’ in 3D was released online, featuring the methods of Dr. Frankenstein to bring a boy's beloved dog Sparky back to life.
This stop-motion animated film, by the director of Dark Shadows and Alice in Wonderland, began as a short film by the director in 1984, a heartwarming tale of a science experiment that takes a monstrous twist.
Reminiscent of the director's film The Nightmare Before Christmas, the black-and-white footage reveals what happens when word spreads about the stitched-up canine creation.
The film features the voices of Winona Ryder (Black Swan), Martin Short ( Madagascar 3), Christopher Lee ( Hugo) and Martin Landau ( Entourage).
Frankenweenie in 3D is to be released in October.
