According to Rory Tyson, National Sales Manager for Nu Metro Films this is the highest pre-sales figure ever recorded in South Africa.

These pre-bookings are more than double that of the previous record holder “This Is It”, released earlier this year.

New Moon is part of a series based on the best-selling novels by Stephenie Meyer. The first, Twilight, was a box office hit last year.

New Moon opens at cinemas nationwide on the 27th of November 2009.
