Freshlyground took my sound: US musician

The World Cup theme song Waka Waka was wrongly credited to the benefit of the South African band Freshlyground, according to a claim by a New York musician

New-York based musician Dominic James claims that the original parts of the song were recorded by him, SABC reports.

James told Weekend Witness in an e-mail that Freshlyground had admitted to him they did not play a single note on the record, yet they were all credited with their respective instruments.

The band appeared on the song's CD cover and official video.
