Sasha Martinengo leaves 5FM

5FM radio presenter Sasha Martinengo will be leaving the station in April after 17 years, a newspaper reported on Thursday.
"Line up changes are an unfortunate part of the radio landscape. Every year, 5FM along with the SABC's 17 other radio properties, evaluate their on-air line-up for the year ahead," station manager Aisha Mohamed told The Star newspaper.
She said the station appreciated Martinengo's work ethic and his dedication to the listeners, but the station needed to evolve and change as its listeners did. Martinengo said he had had a brilliant time with the station and would miss his colleagues.
He said working at 5FM had not been just a job, but his life.
