MK Award Winner for Best Newcomer 2011, Die Tuindwergies, will be releasing their second full length album.

Terwyl die Donker Wolke Dans will be out on July 2, 2012 and the band will introduce the album to fans with a national launch tour in July.

With a combination of country, folk and slight rock influences, Die Tuindwergies brings old Afrikaans music styles together with new vibe.

The band is made up of two sets of brothers, both from talented musical families. Die Tuindwergies started out in 2009 with their debut EP Tuis Gekweek” Their hit single Kopskudkinders reached No. 1 on Tuks FM’s SA Top 30 and was the most requested song for three consecutive weeks by Tuks FM listeners. It also reached No. 1 on Jacaranda FM’s Top 10.

Their first full length self-titled album was released in 2010 and established Die Tuindwergies as one of South Africa’s most popular alternative bands.
