Justin Bieber has said on Twitter that he will be bringing his ‘Believe World Tour’ to South Africa, but no tour has been confirmed.

The tweet, which was sent at 23:30 Tuesday came after Bieber hinting at big news about his tour.

"oh yeah...and just agreed to routing for EUROPE, RUSSIA, MIDDLE EAST, ASIA, AUSTRALIA and NZ, South America, and S AFRICA BELIEVE TOUR dates," the teen star tweeted.

No dates have been announced and no concert promoters have confirmed the tour.

Gwen Ironsi of Big Concerts told Channel 24: “It is not 100% confirmed as yet and Big Concerts has always said they are working on getting the tour to SA, but no dates have been confirmed as yet.”

Big Concerts says they will update Bieber fans as soon as details are available.

The Believe World Tour is currently scheduled to run until March 2013.

Bieber's latest album, Believe, has reached the top spot in 30 countries, and the No. 1 spot on the Billboard album chart, and became the biggest debut sales week for an album in 2012, surpassing Madonna's MDNA.

The first single Boyfriend reached the top position on the US iTunes Store just a few hours after release.

Social media has been abuzz this morning with fans tweeting in glee, but most recent tweets have been jokes like “Justin Bieber is coming to South Africa. As Cartman wud say "If this is what's cool, I'm goin home to kill myself. Goodbye friends!"”
