UK pop group Girls Aloud have announced they are releasing a greatest hits album and are going on tour to celebrate their 10-year anniversary as a group.
The group – made up of Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding – have confirmed, that after months of speculation, they are getting back together and will release a new single off the greatest hits album called Ten.
The five girls are thrilled to be back together and can't wait to perform together again on tour.
Speaking at a press conference at London's Corinthia Hotel, Walsh said: "It felt like the right time. It feels comfortable to be back together - like a comfort blanket."
Cole added: "Touring is the best thing about what we do. And to get to say thank you to the fans is just amazing."
There will be four new songs on the album – including the new single Something New – and fans can vote on the track listing for Disc 2 of the record on the group’s website from October 19.
The five girls have been secretly working on their single for a few weeks and had their meetings at the same hotel they stayed in when they won reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
Roberts said: "We stayed in the same hotel we stayed in the night we got in the band."

Ten will be released on November 26, which will be followed up by a 12-date arena tour which kicks off in Cole’s hometown, Newcastle upon Thames, in Northern England, on February 21.
