FRIDAY

1 Man 9.30pm, SABC3

This documentary, part of a series shot in Cape Town, explores the male persona through a cast of four participants.

With the perception that they are in a city where women outnumber men, the four give us an insight into why so many men in their 30s are still single and into their interaction with the opposite sex. This documentary is unscripted, so the opinions are uncensored and the characters are given the platform to share their views and beliefs.

SATURDAY

2 Class Act 6.30pm, SABC1

This reality show puts 10 of South Africa's best aspiring actors' skills and commitment to the test. The first episode will showcase the highlights on the KZN auditions.

Contestants have to bear ruthless comments from judges, including South Africa's leading actor Rapulana Seiphemo, casting agent Moonyeen Lee and producer Tendeka Matatu as they send those who fail to make the cut packing. At the end of the show viewers get to see who makes the cut.

3 Paul Blart: Mall Cop9.30pm, M-Net

Paul Blart is a mild-mannered, overweight security guard (but likes to think of himself as a police officer) who works at a shopping mall. He has a crush on Amy, a kiosk owner, and lives with his daughter and elderly mother in the town of West Orange, New Jersey.

While patrolling, he notices a group of thieves taking over the mall and holding hundreds of shoppers hostage. He is now forced to use all his wits to try and contain the situation - while hoping that someone notices so his dreams of becoming a cop can become a reality.

4 Nowhere to run 9pm, Zone Reality

This high-speed reality series shows footage of police officers in pursuit of criminals on the run. There are interviews with suspects and police as they discuss why the felons run in the first place.

SUNDAY

5 The Biggest Loser, UK4pm, e.tv

Hosted by motoring journalist-turned-television-presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson, with Angie Dowds and Mark Bailey as personal trainers, this show takes overweight contestants on a journey to lose weight with the promise to win a cash prize to the contestant who sheds the most kilos.

This week Liz faces a lonely battle in the house while fellow contestants make plans to rise above any challenges to make their partnership work.
