FRIDAY

1 Wild Child: The True Story 5.20pm, Discovery World

This documentary explores the world of children who grow up in isolation, bridging the gap between human and animal life. One such case is that of Oxana Malaya, otherwise known as the Ukrainian Dog Girl.

She spent much of her childhood living in a kennel in the back garden of her home. Malaya had found it difficult to live with her alcoholic parents. She was classified as a wild or feral child because she barks and can hardly speak.

SATURDAY

2 The First Daughter 7.30pm, SABC3

Katie Holmes plays Samantha MacKenzie, an ordinary college freshman who is also the daughter of a US president. She prefers to keep a low profile, so she asks her father to get rid of the secret agents assigned to guard her.

The president agrees and sends a younger agent, James, who poses as a resident adviser at her dormitory, to keep an eye on her. Their relationship develops into a romantic attraction. But she has to figure out if his love is genuine, not just part of his job.

3 Around The World in 20 years7.30pm, BBC Knowledge

Famous comedian, actor, writer and TV presenter Michael Palin goes in search of the captain and the crew he met on his voyage from Dubai to Mumbai.

He starts in Dubai and comes across two officials who helped organise the original trip, but they don't know what happened to Captain Hassan Suylman. He finally finds the captain and his crew in a village called Mandvi, in Gujerat.

4 High School Musical 2 7pm, Disney Channel

The first film ends with everyone at Eastside High School looking forward to the summer vacation. But Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) is the only one worried about college fees and decides to look for a summer job while trying to make sure that he and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) stay together.

Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) hears about this and attempts to steal Troy for herself by hiring him at her family's country club, hoping that Troy will sing with her at the talent show. Troy decides to sing with his friends while excited about his date with Gabriella.

SUNDAY

5 Ga Re Dumele7pm, SABC 2

This seTswana sitcom revolves around an elderly couple, Josephine and Mmusisi Ratau, who are obsessed with their 28-year-old last-born child Jane, thus creating difficulties for her and the new life she is starting.
