Judy Garland and John Hodiak star in this 1940s classic about a young woman who works as a mail order bride, but decides to join a group of women who are opening a Harvey House restaurant after her relationship goes sour. They do well until a saloon opens across the road. Also starring Angela Lansbury.

3 Rain Man 7.30pm, Stars

When car dealer Charlie Babbitt's father passes on and leaves him a 1949 Buick Roadmaster, he is disappointed but wants to make the best of his inheritance until he finds out that his father left his other son Raymond - a brother Charlie never knew he had - $3-million. Charlie then decides to kidnap Raymond and tries to tell him how to spend his inheritance. But Raymond is much more intelligent than he seems and the journey changes Charlie's life for-ever. Starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.

4Girls of the Playboy Mansion VI 10pm, E! Entertainment Television

In the new season of 'Girls of the Playboy Mansion', the founder of Playboy Magazine, Hugh Hefner, introduces his new girlfriends (his other three have left him to pursue their careers). In the premiere episode, the three new blonde bombshells jet off to Las Vegas to promote a Playboy video while one of the new girlfriends, Crystal, confesses that she is nervous about meeting Holly - one of Hef's former girlfriends - at her "peep show".

5My Best Friend's Girl 8pm, M-Net

Tank, played by Dane Cook, decides that working a 9-to-5 job is just not for him and he finds a new way to make money: renting himself out to men whose girlfriends have left them, getting involved with the girlfriends and being a complete idiot with the hope that the girls go back to their former boyfriends after realising how much better they are.

Everything goes well with a couple of assignments, but his plans backfire when his best friend rents his services and instead of the girl wanting to go back to the best friend, she falls madly in love with Tank ... and the two of them decide to date.
