One of the world’s foremost e-sports "shoutcasters" will be on stage hosting the Telkom Digital Gaming League Masters Final this weekend as eight teams battle it out for the R1-million prize pool at the rAge gaming and technology expo in Johannesburg.

The final kicks off with the first set of matches on Friday October 7 at the expo.

It will comprise two tournaments, with both Counter-Strike and Dota 2 played at the expo. The eight multi-gaming organisations (MGOs) taking part are fielding different teams for the two games.

The teams from each of the eight MGOs will compete for R1-million, which is South Africa’s largest e-sports cash prize pool to date.

Paul “ReDeYe” Chaloner, one of the world’s foremost e-sports shoutcasters, will be in Johannesburg to host the Masters Final. He will be joined by well-known local e-sport commentators for the weekend.

The Telkom Digital Gaming League tournament line-up and broadcasting talent for the Masters Final at rAge is as follows:
