Avocado Magazine | 10 April, 2012 00:22

How to make wheat-free choc and oat bread

INGREDIENTS:

  • 100g ground almonds
  • 350g self-raising rice flour
  • 50ml cocoa
  • 50g treacle sugar
  • 3ml salt
  • 450ml milk
  • 100g butter
  • 100g oats
  • 50g melted chocolate to decorate

METHOD:

Preheat the oven to 190C.

Grease a six-hole mini-loaf tin.

In a mixer, mix together all the ingredients until well combined.

Transfer to the prepared tins, filling only three- quarters.

Top with a sprinkle of oats and bake for 25 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Drizzle the loaves with melted chocolate and serve with butter. Also very tasty with peanut butter.

MAKES: Six mini loaves or two small loaves

TIME: 30 minutes
