Zapiro off the target

ZAPIRO'S cartoon on Thursday missed the mark.

First, it was a wedding and weddings are popular. Second, it was a free show, courtesy of the UK taxpayer. There were splendid chocolate soldiers who are also combat soldiers, there are well groomed horses and there was the magnificent fairy-tale carriage for real. What's not to enjoy?

Royal leeches? Any head of state has a ceremonial role and it costs much the same for a republic as it does for a monarchy. But a monarchy does it with more style.
