How any sane person can support the proposal of fracking in the karoo or any place for that matter, is mind-blowing.

It is quite clear that Mr. Nissen is coming out to bat as a lobbyist for Shell and other interested parties.

No community anywhere has had any long term benefits from fracking, and all that will be left is an environmental disaster.

The destruction caused in places like Colorado, Pensylvannia, Arkansas etc. is for everyone to see.

We have an opportunity to act responsibly and leave a legacy for future generations, that greed does not serve the environment.

I beg the decision makers in this process not to be bullied and bribed by companies such as Shell, and look at the track record of fracking around the world.

The losers will all our citizens and this beautiful country we live in.
