Putting it on a wall ain’t courage
It makes some feel they’re tough
But eventually one has enough

Aunt is an atheist from England
And she is living in Spain
She put another up this morning
“On these fair Isles it’s Christmas
I will help you pack your bags
If this here message offends thee”
A merry declaration of hostility

And of course there is the call to
Respect, repeat and repost this
Message of stupidity and hate
Sheepishly trying to look brave
Wars are fought without thinking
I am wondering if she even read
Before she copied and posted

If you don’t want to repost this
I respect your independence
This is still just my own opinion
And you are your own person
Not my mouthpiece to trumpet
The disagreements I have hurled
Onto Facebook and at the world
