The problem with nationalisation is that it is understood through the character of Julius Malema.
We fail to see and take note of the abuse of poor people and natural resources in rural South Africa by big mining companies.
It is sad to see how big mining companies are extracting minerals near villages, but do not develop these areas and the people.
Thinking that business in private hands is good for the economy is very wrong. The economy of this country has been in private hands for hundreds of years, and the result is hundreds of years of poverty for the black masses. With or without foreign investment, we remain poor.
I call for nationalisation so that spatial development becomes government agenda.
Let the natural resources of this country benefit the ordinary man on the street.
