Malema, dead snakes and pissing US soldiers

This week has been a crazy one when it comes to news. I mean the ANC Youth League seems to have done a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of the “dead snake” known as former President Thabo Mbeki and US soldiers piss on dead Taliban freedom fighters.
When suspended youth league president Julius Malema was still wearing “100% Zuma” t-shirts and pronouncing his readiness to kill for the man he now calls “shawara” the shower man, Mbeki was called a dead snake.
It came as a surprise then when the ANC Youth League called for Mbeki to be more vocal on the South African economy and politics, shortly after the ANC centenary celebrations in Bloemfontein. Has the dead snake been given a kiss of life? Only Juju knows.
A video of members of the US Marine Corps urinating on the corpses of killed Afghan Taliban freedom fighters has emerged on YouTube, pissing off the whole of the Islamic world.
Then a woman was trampled to death in the now infamous University of Johannesburg chaotic registration queues, 16 other people were injured. The woman had accompanied her son there who went to register for a degree in biomedical studies.
Eight rhino carcasses were found in the Kruger National Park and some poachers were killed by rangers, which might have received some hearty applause from anti-poaching campaigners.
Last year, about 443 rhinos were killed for their horns, with 333 killed in 2010 alone.
