Arrogant antics by Djokovic

Novak Djokovic may have won the Australian Open, but his antics on court afterwards, when he stripped off his shirt and yelled like a man possessed, left much to be desired.

His "look at me" antics after a nearly six-hour match, which could have gone either way, was a shameful display of arrogance, a trait for which Djokovic is well known. Despite losing what must have been a hugely important match, Rafael Nadal maintained his dignity and poise and even managed a smile during his runner-up acceptance speech. Hats off to him.

Imagine Roger Federer's supporters' box all turning up in T-shirts displaying photos of Federer? Or Nadal's girlfriend continually standing up with clenched fists and egging him on, as happens in Djokovic's camp?

During the semifinal encounter between Nadal and Federer, there were no theatrics on or off court.

Djokovic may well win the next two Grand Slams and a lot of matches in between, but he could also find that his head grows so big that it falls off.
